Zhivko Kolev honored with the prestigious SANREMO MUSIC AWARDS for lifetime achievement award
The well-known Bulgarian poet, author, screenwriter, and director Zhivko Kolev, a member of the Board of MUSICAUTOR, has been awarded the international SANREMO MUSIC AWARDS for lifetime achievement. From the Bulgarian side, Sylvia Katsarova and Vasil Naydenov also received a prize from the same category. The award is given for the first time to Bulgarian artists and is part of the international festival held under the same title.
"This award is given to some of the most outstanding authors and artists in different countries. It is an international recognition of the value of the awarded artists, lyricists, and musicians who have contributed to the cultural enrichment of their country and beyond," said Erilien (Paula Pavlova), an Italian producer and performer, representative of the award's founding organization. The popular Italian performer and actor Francesco Baccini arrived from Italy, especially for the award ceremony.
The SANREMO MUSIC AWARDS festival has been held in different countries around the world since 2001 and aims to bring Italian music together with artists from different parts of the world.
The main objective of the forum is to create interaction between diverse musical cultures and has been hosted in many countries such as Monte Carlo, Russia, Cuba, Mexico, Romania, Uzbekistan, and many others. Distinguished artists such as Zhivko Kolev become jury members of the festival with participation in events around the world.
Zhivko Kolev, who has been a member of MUSICAUTOR since its inception, celebrates his 70th birthday this year. He told representatives of the organization that is awarded the prize is another international recognition for him, which gives him motivation and meaning to keep creating.
He is the author of more than 1,000 song lyrics, including "The Clown" and "Interlude" /performed by Vasil Naydenov/, "The Big Ship Goes By" /performed by Sylvia Katsarova, "Goodbye" ("Signal") "Lake Ohrid" and "Shopkinya" /performed by Silvija Katsarova, "The Clown" and "The Clown". Panaiot Panayotov/, "Like No One Else" /performed by Lili Ivanova/, "Delnik" and "To the Last Breath" /performed by the band Tangra/, "Jalma" and "As Far as My Eyes Can See" /performed by the duet Riton/, "Ex, Canada" and "Party Favorites" (UFO).
